The decision to have your insurance with someone is a significant one. We are the people and the brokerage you are trusting to be here for you in the event of a partial or full loss of a home, automobile, cottage, business or other cherished item.

At Johnston & Mackie, our Insurance Brokers have two key roles. First, they advise you on the best coverage option for you. Second, in the event of a claim, they are the liaison between you and the insurance company in order to provide you with the best result possible.

At the time Johnston & Mackie was established, business was conducted on a handshake, and these same honest values apply today.

1. We appreciate that your insurance needs are individual and unique.

Each person who comes to us for their insurance is dealt with as an individual. We invest the time in pursuing the best coverage option we can put together for you. Having a client insured properly is a responsibility we take very seriously.

2. We will be here for you when you need us, and we will advocate on your behalf.

At heart, we are advisors for you at all points in your life. Whether you need insurance for the first time, need to make changes to your policy, or need to make a claim, our role is to advise you every step of the way.

3. We will routinely review your insurance policy to maintain your protection in the most effective way possible. It is our responsibility to protect you with the best coverage options available.

You might be surprised what changes in a year, especially when it comes to insurance. One year can make a huge difference when it comes to obtaining licenses, graduating from college, retiring, downsizing, upsizing and so on. We understand that your insurance broker might not be the first person you think to call when all of this takes place, so every year we review your policy for any changes that might be required.

4. We will actively support our community.

We believe that a community that supports each other is one that succeeds together. We support the volunteer efforts of our brokers, and we are active in supporting local community needs. Corporately, we believe that a strong community is good for business, and we take a leadership role in ensuring we do our part to make that happen.
